Mark Fleming CFA®, FRM®

Mark brings twenty years of in-depth investment and wealth management experience to the Gryphon team.  His knowledge of capital markets, research and equity management in particular, is a tremendous asset to Gryphon clients. 

What Mark enjoys most about his role is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on his clients’ financial well-being. He thrives on the challenge of navigating financial market complexities and designing individualized investment strategies suited to each client’s goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.

During high school, Mark spent his summers and vacations hanging out at some of the largest trading desks in the world. In the years that followed, he started learning more about markets and the people involved. He found roles in trading, analytics, and portfolio management to expand his knowledge and shape his financial worldview.

As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), he brings experience across all aspects of the client investment strategy and implementation including initial concept, quantitative modeling, and stock selection both domestically and globally. Mark also holds the designation of Financial Risk Manager (FRM®). This accreditation is globally recognized as a premier certification for advisors to help develop strategies to counteract the effects of potential risks.

His volunteer experience includes a Board Member at the Midwest Chinese Chamber of Commerce; Board of Trustees at Northern Kentucky Montessori Academy; Advisor and Judge at CFA Research Challenge; and a Judge for Junior Achievement of Central Ohio. Mark earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Western Michigan University. He lives in Westerville, Ohio with his wife and three children.
